Daniel Epstein

PhD Candidate

Teaching and Pedagogy

I have had extensive teaching experience in a variety of settings during my graduate career, serving by turns as a teaching assistant, a graduate student mentor in a BA thesis seminar, and as an instructor of record. In Winter 2022, I was awarded a selective "Grodzins Prize Lectureship" to teach an advanced undergraduate seminar of my own design: "Law's Violence: Theoretical Foundations and Abolitionist Futures."

See below for information on courses I've taught as the instructor of record. Navigate to the "Teaching Philosophy" subpage under the "Teaching" menu to read more about how I think about the teaching role.
